Milan & Salone del Mobile 2024

FROM 17 TO 21 OF APRIL, 2024

MILAN has earned the title of design capital and is today in full renovation. Neighborhoods such as Porta Nuova or CityLife and buildings such as MUDEC (Chipperfield), the museum Fondazione Luigi Rovati, the Fondazione Feltrinelli (Herzog & De Meuron), or the Prada Tower (OMA) place it at the forefront of architecture and urban planning in Europe. This trip combines the rediscovery of the city with the most important event in the world of design and interior design: the Salone del Mobile Milan 2024. This year, the exhibition, in addition to presenting the latest innovations in furniture and design, hosts the Salone Satellite, dedicated to new talents, S. Project, Eurocucina, the International Bathroom Exhibition, as well as a multitude of activities that are prepared every year at the Fuorisalone for this occasion.

Milan Design Week is a unique opportunity to see the latest in design and interior design and network with best furniture companies and design professionals from around the world who meet in the city every year.

DAY 1- WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17th

Arrival of participants at the hotel or apartment by their own means. If required, we offer transfers by private sedan or minibus from the airport. Check-in at hotel or apartment according to reservation.
15:30h Meeting with the architect-guide at the reception of the hotel. Guided architectural tour in the center to discover its most significant buildings and the most interesting galleries and design concept stores. Our itinerary begins in Piazza del Duomo, where we will visit the Duomo and its unique terrace overlooking the city (entry tickets included), as well as the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Teatro della Scalla (ext), Piazza dei Mercanti, Castello Sforzesco (ext). From there we will enter the heart of Milan’s fashion and design boutiques of Milan. As we walk along we will see some of the Fuorisalone installations and activities that are created every year in the streets during the Design week as well as the most elegant design and furniture showrooms.
Welcome dinner for the group in an excellent Italian-Mediterranean restaurant located in the center of Milan (included).

DAY 2 THURSDAY, APRIL 18th

Free morning to visit the Salone del Mobile, with train transport to Rho Fiera and tickets included (International Furniture Fair – Professionals). Optional private transfer to Rho fair by sedan or minibus. Free lunch time.

15:30h Meeting with the architect-guide at Porta Genova station for a 3-hour architectural tour visiting some of the most innovative recent works of architecture in the neighborhoods of Porta Genova, Navigli and Ticinese, with works by international architects such as David Chipperfield, SANAA, Grafton Architects and OMA. Tickets for Fondazione Prada included.
Dinner at leisure. Overnight at hotel 4**** or apartment upon reservation.

DAY 3 –FRIDAY, APRIL 19th

Free morning to visit the Salone del Mobile, with train transport (from Stazione Centrale to Rho Fiera) and tickets included (International Furniture Fair – Professionals). Optional private transfer to Rho fair by private sedan or minibus. Free lunch time.

15:30h Meeting with the architect-guide at Amendola metro station, for an architectural tour to discover two new districts: City-life (masterplan by Libeskind, Zaha-Hadid and Isozaki) with buildings by the three architects, and Porta Nuova, (masterplan Kohn Pedersen Fox) with buildings such as the Bosco Verticale by Stefano Boeri, the Biblioteca degli Alberi Park, the Fondazione Feltrinelli (Herzog & de Meuron), the Casa della Memoria, Fondazione Luigi Rovati (Mario Cucinella Architects).
Dinner at leisure. Overnight at hotel 4**** or apartment upon reservation.
 

DAY 4 – SATURDAY, APRIL 20th

Free morning to visit the Salone del Mobile, with transportation by train to Rho Fiera and entrance tickets included (International Furniture Fair). Optional private transfer to Rho Fiera by sedan or minibus. On April 20 and 21 the Furniture Fair is open to the general public, so those who do not have professional accreditation (related to interior design, architecture, furniture, lighting) can visit the fair on this day.

Free time for lunch and free return to Milan.
Optional Concert or cultural event (to be confirmed on March, according to availability).
Overnight at the hotel 4**** or in the apartment according to reservation.

DAY 5 – SUNDAY, APRIL 21st

Free day. Check-out from hotel or apartment. Departure of the participants by their own means. Upon request, we offer an optional transfer to Milan’s airports in a private sedan or minibus.
