Depart from country of origin to Santiago de Chile.
DAY 2 – SANTIAGO – VALPARAISO
Airport pick-up in Santiago and immediate transport to hotel in Valparaíso.
Vehicle available entire day in the Viña del Mar – Valparaíso area.
Transport: From Santiago Airport to Viña del Mar (private Bus). Bus available in Valparaíso/Viña area (4 hr.) with assistance from guide (private bus).
Visit Catholic University School of Architecture in Valparaíso.
Night at hotel in Valparaíso.
DAY 3 – VIÑA DEL MAR – ZAPALLAR
Breakfast at hotel. Bus available entire day (8 hours) to visit Valparaíso – Viña del Mar and Zapallar zones.
Afternoon: transport to selected hotel in Santiago. Transport: Bus available in Valparaíso, Viña areas/ (8 hrs) with guide. Transport to Hotel Valparaíso – Hotel Viña.
Night in Santiago.
DAY 4 – SANTIAGO AND SURROUNDING AREA
Breakfast at the hotel. Bus available entire day for tours in Santiago. Hotel in Santiago. Transport: Bus available Santiago area (8 hrs).
Historical area: La Moneda Palace, Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Parque forestal, Vega Central Market, Recoleta Domínica convent, cemetery.
Contemporary architecture housing: Reuters House, Toyo Ito House, etc.
Night in Santiago.
DAY 5 – SANTIAGO AND SURROUNDING AREA
Breakfast at the hotel. At agreed-upon time, bus available all day (8 hr.) for tours of Santiago, according to group needs.
Transport: Bus available in Santiago area (8 hrs. within city limits) with guide.
Modern architecture: Benedictine Monasteries, Cepal Building, Villa Portales, San Ignacio School, etc.
Contemporary architecture: Transoceanic building, Adolfo Ibañez University, Museum of Memory, Financial districts El Golf and Nueva Las Condes, Restaurant Mestizo, Bicentennial Park, etc.
Night in Santiago.
DAY 6 – CALAMA AND S.P. ATACAMA
Santiago airport for flight to Calama. Airport pick-up in Calama and immediate transport to hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
Rest of the afternoon free. Optional vehicle available. Lodging in San Pedro de Atacama.
Transport from hotel in Santiago – Airport. Transport Calama Airport – Hotel.
Night in San Pedro.
DAY 7 – TOCONAO, V. LUNA AND SALAR
Breakfast at hotel. Tour of Toconao, Salar de Atacama and Valle de La Luna.
Lodging in San Pedro de Atamaca. Transport: All-day bus tour San Pedro/ Salar/Valle de la Luna area.
Vernacular and contemporary architecture: Hotel Explora, UCN Library, Marsino Arq. Antofagasta Museum.
Night in San Pedro.
DAY 8 – CHUQUICAMA AND CALAMA
Breakfast at hotel. Transport to Calama for tour of Chuquicamata, open-pit mines, the most important in the zone.
Transport to airport for flight to Santiago. Airport pick-up in Santiago and transport to hotel. Lodging in Santiago.
Transport: Bus available all day – Chuquicamata and transport to airport. Chuquicamata mine tour. Transport to Santiago Airport.
Night in Santiago.
DAY 9 – RETURN TO UK
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day and, at agreed-upon time, transport to Santiago Airport for return flight.
