Amsterdam is quite possibly the most historically relevant european city in terms of urban design. We find works of contemporary dutch architecture all over the city, especially in the zone of Borneo sporenburg and Java, full of interesting buildings by distinct architects.
Rotterdam is internationally recognized for its innovative architecture. We find the new and the old here, together in harmony. Some of the better-known architectural studios have their offices in this Dutch city.
Here, Rem Koolhaas end eavors to redesignthe world. Founders of OMA, MVRDV and Mecanoo also have their offices here. In The Hague we find more interesting examples of contemporary dutch architecture.
A trip to Utrecht to see the Rietveld-schröder house is a must. This building, on the UNESCO list of Heritage Sites, is considered to be the most influential residential building from the beginning of the modern era.
